MCKINLEE | Eleven Months

Well happy eleventh monthiversery! I can't believe you will be ONE, in 30 days! It's insane at how you have grown and learned so much just in the short time you've blessed this place! Just in the last month- you have slimmed to almost nothing- you still have rolls on your legs but when those are gone, I will need to join a support group for over-emotional moms, because that will mean you're officially not a baby anymore!

Weight: 22lbs
Height: 28 inches

Let's see: this month you have really learned to scream and it is {awful}. Not a little scream, like a huge scream- I googled how to discipline you and it said you were just exploring your voice- so if you're loud why you're playing or happy I don't get onto you, but to say, inside voice. But, you do it when you're mad or don't get your way and mommy and daddy can't handle it, so you do get a spankin' or we try to sit you on your timeout bench{which never really works out}. You are officially on solid foods or anything we eat- but if we eat something too spicy I just make you chicken nuggets and mac&cheese! You like pizza, Swedish meatballs, and sometimes enchiladas. You're a great eater! So we just buy you the applesauce pouches to take on-the-go!

You got your second tooth on April 12, 2013! It's so cute, so you have your two, bottom, middle teeth! And they are so cute- and very sharp! You are talking a lot more these days, not really words just gibberish! But you do say "Hi!" when you wave, I'm pretty sure you say "all done!", but only when I sign it and say it first- but it's still super cute :) You are close to walking- you will hold onto the ottoman and just walk around it and you will walk with a walker, you can take your time on that! But you crawl super fast and you've gotten really good at standing up {especially in your crib} ha! Can't wait to see what the next month holds!

All your birthday party stuff is ready to go, we have a few more decorations to make and the food to buy{gonna wait til the night before} and the invitations go out next week! So exciting!

Love you so much sweet baby girl :)

HOLIDAY | First Easter

Wednesday, March 27, you woke up with a awful fever of 101- I monitored it all day and about 12, daddy came and got you so you could cuddle and rest for the remainder of the day! It got as high as 102.7, and so Thursday you got to have a sick day with Mimi so you could get some more sick cuddles- she took you to the doctor{just in case it was still your ear} and they diagnosed it as a 'head cold'. Friday, we just stayed home and you slept a lot and mommy just cleaned house. It finally was at a steady 97-98. Saturday we had plans to go see the Easter bunny, you woke up with a 102, but I gave you Tylenol and a bath- it came down to 97! So we went and saw the bunny! You weren't a fan. Later that day, we were sitting on the porch, eating peanuts and you were just chillin' on Mimi's lap and you grabbed one and were sucking on the shell before anyone even noticed! I freaked out- well you took a nap and when you woke up, you had a rash! So of course I was like, 'great, she's allergic to peanuts!'

Long story short, I freaked out and did a few google searches and turns out it's Roseola. Which is a common rash infants ages 1-3 get, it's a sudden on-set of high fever, followed by a body rash. Yours is very mild compared to all of the pictures, but by the description of symptoms I'm pretty sure that's what it is! So after that, I could relax- we enjoyed Easter! You, Mom and Dad went to church and then to Mimi's for lunch- we had ham and you had a lemon cupcake which you loved, obviously. You played with Addi Grace and it was a great day spent with family and friends! Happy first Easter, sweet girl!
