Well, it's finally here. You are one, the big 12 months! I can't believe it! This year has flown by and we've watched you grow into the most beautiful little girl and so smart, too! If you would've asked me or daddy two years ago if we thought we'd be parents at 20, we would have thought you were crazy! But we are, and we don't ever regret our decision to be your parents! You are the best thing that has ever happened to us, and you've made us better people just being born! Ok, that's all for my mushy spill!
I'm going to recap the last eleven months and then I will highlight on your 12 month achievements! I was so excited and blessed to be able to take you with me to work after my 6 weeks{thankful for our job with Reesa and Reagan}, I knew I didn't want to miss any of your firsts and I'm pleased to say I haven't missed a single thing! I was there the first time you rolled over, smiled, grabbed your first toys, sat up, said "mama", crawled, said "dada", took a big girl bath, started using sign language, pulling up, walking with a walker. I didn't miss a single one! I am so thankful! I made your baby food like the first month- and it got to be way to much work as busy as we were, so that stopped real fast! You nursed so well from the first time in the hospital and I am so thankful for that! Thankful for you!!! You're still nursing, I can't seem to wean{that's the only thing keeping you my baby!} You've had 3 ear infections, one cold, and you had some eye drops when Reags poked you in the eye! Haha! We went a whole year without buying one diaper or one pack of wipes{thanks to friends and family} which saved us roughly about $525 and not buying formula saved us about $500 as well! We lived in a one bedroom apartment when you were born, and when you were seven months we moved to a two bedroom and painted yours bright pink! It has been the best adventure I've ever been on and I can't wait to see where we are a year from now!
Weight: 18lb 10oz
Height: 28.5 inches
Let's see you are so, SO close to walking! You've even got a little brave and you'll just let go of the couch or ottoman and just fall to your booty! You are getting more interested in anything but your toys! You are wearing 12month pants and 12-18mo shirts, rompers, jackets & dresses! You don't particularly like shoes, but I make you wear them! You are starting to pull hairbows out which I just stick them right back in! You have tons of hair and its starting to get a little curl! You love bath time and anytime you get to eat!! :) I'm so glad you're such a great eater! You have your two bottom teeth and your two top ones! You are starting to miss daddy a lot while he's at work- you're always saying "dada" and looking around for him during the day. We love you and can't wait to see what the next year holds!

LET'S PARTY | Rainbow Party

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

We had your party the Sunday before your birthday, because we were afraid everyone would have Memorial Day plans! We had it at Gulley Park in Fayetteville! Ms.Tawny and mommy got there about 12 and started decorating!! She was a HUGE help! {I was a newbie at party hosting} We invited tons of friends and family and had a blast! The whole week before I was praying it would be nice outside, considering all of the flooding we've had lately! It was a beautiful day, 88 and sunny {slight windy} but no complaints!! You had the cutest outfit that I ordered from miscellaneous places, and your cake and cupcakes were beautiful from Rick's Bakery! Aunt gracie helped mommy cut up all the "rainbow fruit" and i made white chocolate covered pretzels with rainbow sprinkles! We had pizza from Sam's club and fruit loops for the little babies that were there!

You were a little clingy at first, I think just overwhelmed with all the people wanting to see you, but you loosened up and let me and dad pass you around a bit! You had a good time! You received tons of great gifts, clothes and diapers! It was a lot of work but worth it! But we were all exhausted by the time we got home! I got all of the stuff out of the gift bags and called it good! I was one tired mama! I can't wait to see what the next year holds and you'll never know how much joy you truly bring me! We love you Mckinlee Gray!
