THE MAMA | Confessional Friday

Started following a fancy blogger today, Blonde Ambition, who does a link-up post every Friday where she encourages others to share their story too. This weeks segment is 'getting to know you'! So here we go:

Born and raised in Arkansas until I was sixteen, moved to NC for my Junior and Senior year because of Dad's job. Played soccer my whole life, I loved being part of a team, played my first semester in college at a University in NC before deciding to move back to AR to finish out school at the UofA.
So if you didn't get that AR//NC//AR.

During my first semester back in Arkansas, I met my forever love Justin and we have been together since, Jan 2011. We went on our first date and have been inseparable since. Summer 2011 was my favorite!

Soon after summer ended, we took a roadtrip so he could meet my family in NC and about a month later we found out we were expecting a baby. We don't waste any time.

We had no idea how much our lives were about to change with the arrival of our sweet girl.

Justin is currently a Pharmacy Tech at Collier's Compounding lab and I nanny two sweet girls, while I am in school part time and saving us money on childcare while getting to watch my baby love grow and learn.

We can't wait to see what our future holds, a wedding, once I finish school we hope to give our sweet, almost TWO year old a sibling, buy a house, ect. I am excited to make 'Confessional Friday' a new thing.

HOLIDAY | Christmas

Well, we had about two days to recover from the busy holiday week and then we had Bolinger Christmas the following Saturday. We slept in while daddy hunted for the last time and then when he got home we headed to RaRa and uncle Brett's. It's always a fun time to get together with the Bolinger bunch, lots of kids for you to play with and all the big kids are mommy and daddy's age so we have lots of stuff in common. Mema wanted to do some family pictures since there has been so many additions to the family since the last pictures{8 years ago}. We ate lots of food, played some of our favorite games and opened gifts. After the sun went down, we all made our way over to the square to see the Lights of the Ozarks! It was cold but you always enjoy looking at everything.

New Year's Eve has been pretty quiet for us parents as we just stayed home and enjoyed cheerios and cartoons with our sweet girl. I decided to throw Justin a surprise birthday party since his birthday is on NYE and thought it would be perfect! It was, besides my few "i miss my baby" moments we had so much fun spending time with old friends! I made my famous cheeseball {you can get the recipe here!}, some casual rotel cheese dip and lil' smokies and we just snacked and drank. I tried out a new Spiked Apple Cider recipe and it was a hit, so delicious.
